We are planning to visit Hollymead House, Downview Road, Felpham a very local residential care home for the elderly on Monday 27th March in the morning. We will walk down at approximately 10.00am to sing to the residents and will return to the nursery at the latest by 11.20am ready for home time. This outing will support the children in getting to know the local community and seeing how different people live as part of understanding the world (Early Years Foundation Stage) and personal, social and emotional development.

Children will need to wear comfortable footwear for the walk to the nursing home and a waterproof coat. We will need parent / grandparent helpers for the outing to ensure safe ratios of adults to children. Thank you to those parents who have offered already. The children will walk to Hollymead House holding an adults hand and we will walk down the footpath running adjacent to Downview School and Felpham Community College. We will talk to the children regarding safety before we leave the nursery and share the risk assessment with the children (in a child friendly way) and the adult helpers.

Please complete and sign the consent form below if you are happy for your child to take part in this outing and return by Monday 20th March at the latest. Many thanks.
